Second Sweep ("we", "us") operates shopsecondsweep.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Order information: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number, and the products you buy. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Support information: what you send us by email, phone or the contact form, including photos of a product for a warranty claim.
- Device information: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring site, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you browse the store.
How we use it
- To process and ship your order, send order and shipping confirmations, and provide warranty and return service.
- To answer your questions and keep records of support cases.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to comply with legal obligations such as tax reporting.
- To improve the store, based on how it is used.
- To send marketing email only if you have opted in; you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in each email.
Who we share it with
We share information with service providers that need it to run the store: Shopify (our e-commerce platform, which hosts the store and your order data), our payment provider (to charge your card and screen for fraud), shipping carriers (to deliver your order), and our email provider (to send order emails). We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell personal information for money.
Advertising and measurement
We advertise on Google. When you visit the store, Google may receive device and browsing information through cookies and similar technologies, such as the pages you view and whether you place an order, so that we can measure how our ads perform and show our ads to people who have visited the store. Under some state laws, including California's, this may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To opt out, email support@shopsecondsweep.com with the subject "Do not share my information", or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we treat as an opt-out request. You can also adjust or turn off personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.
Cookies
The store uses cookies that are necessary for the cart and checkout to work, analytics cookies that help us understand store traffic, and advertising cookies described above. You can control cookies in your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may stop the checkout from working.
Retention
We keep order records for as long as needed for warranty service, accounting and tax purposes, which is typically seven (7) years. Support correspondence is kept for the life of the related warranty.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@shopsecondsweep.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and respond within the time required by law.
Children
The store is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced on the store.
